Gala island released

Dara has finally released his island named: Gala, after a long, hard work, which he's been working on.

The island is very detailed all around with different looking towns, some hills etc, but with attention to the perfomance for smoother gameplay. It also features both desert and woodland environments for more variety.

Didn't notice any bugs on the island, but it is a huge island so you never know...
Only downside is that i didn't make the airfield taxi of for the AI units to take off or land, sorry about that...
This is the final version of the island so don't expect any upgrades or changes.

Dara has sent us more screenshots of his island that he's working on.

Hi all... Here are some new screenshots of my island, it's finished but i need to do a last minute check to see if i missed anything and put the city names into the conf. file so expect the island to be available in a few days... Making of the island took longer than i expected, but im happy with the results. I made some changes from the last time i posted screenshots, the winter part of the island has been removed so the island will feature two tipes of terrain "desert and european vegetation tipe". also the island will use BAS_O objects (mostly for the desert part)...

MINUSTAH Mod English localization

Thiago Lopes has sent us English localization for his MINUSTAH Mod released earlier. The initial release didn't support English language, but was rather replaced with Portuguese instead. So if you missed English language for the mod, download this small stringtable file.

WH40K Mod version 3 released

Sengir from the Warhammer 40K Mod has informed us about the release of version 3 of their mod on their forums.

First of all, we know the pack isn’t a professional production. It’s awesome in many ways and you will probably find more units in the pack that you will ever be able to use in your missions. We worked on the pack for more that 18 months full-force.
On the other hand, you will surely see some minor bugs. All we can say to these little problems is that we are just hobbyists and we weren’t here for YOU but for us and our fun. If we’d tried to fix every lil prob, you would have never downloaded this pack. There are not many probs and no big ones anyway, so don’t freak out. We made what we were able to, there are just a few problems we know about. There are some addons ppl like to call betas, well why not to use it even it isn’t. We really hope this pack gets to mature people - as we will ignore any whiners anyway.
Honestly, we don’t have time to include every anims/vehicle/unit you would like to see in the pack. If you want to help us, just write at the forums, there is always enough space for talented ppl. We will gladly accept any constructive criticism, ideally coupled with any help you can share.

Tavania island

-Martin- has posted some pictures of his Tavania island on the BI forums that he's currently working on.
Tavania is a detailed island with Eastern Bloc influences, as it might appear from some of the pictures. The island will feature new buildings, statues, sidewalks on the roads, wheat fields and much more.

I have been a long time OFP/ARMA fan and player. I have downloaded gigs and gigs of addons from your great website for years and for the longest time ofpinfo was the first site I would check when I would log on.

With so many games coming out over the years and with my small hard drive I ended up removing ofp from my pc and switching over to ARMA. Recently i've been deployed to Kuwait with the US Army and could only bring my laptop. I have been looking for games to keep me busy in my free time and I rediscovered OFP. The gameplay is better than ARMA and the fancier games with better graphics in many respects and it plays great on my laptop. I am pleased to see that all my old favorite addons and many new ones are still up on your website. I was worried at first that this great treasure chest of addons would be lost forever by now.

Thank you for the continued work and for keeping the site alive and going. It is fair to say that OFP is one if not the best game of its kind and a game like this will never die, thank you for taking this to heart.

MINUSTAH Mod

Thiago Lopes has informed us about the release of MINUSTAH Modification, featuring the United Nations peacekeeping mission in Haiti.

The MINUSTAH MODIFICATION is a project by Thiago Lopes and that counts with the partnership of Thamker the Mod recreates the game Operation Flashpoint troops, vehicles, aircraft of the armed forces participating in a mission MINUSTAH UN mission aimed at maintaining peace and order Haiti in the country, located in the Caribbean, below you can have access to an extensive material which has detailed the history of mod, military participants on the country such as Haiti.

The mod features variety of Chilean and Brazilian UN troops with Haitian rebels oppositing them, along with some new civilians too.

Nogovan addons by R0adki11

R0adki11 has updated his Nogovan Light Infantry Addon Pack and released some new content too to be used with the units.

First off, the Nogovan Light Infantry Addon Pack itself:
R0adki11 has updated it to version 3.2, which includes updated models, some totally new unit types, etc and has released it on the BI forums.

He has also released Antonov An-2 troop carrier plane on another thread on the BI forums, which comes up with an early civilian version and a version to be used with the Nogovan Light Infantry itself. Plans are also to make an East version too, according to him.
