Czech game server Gamez.cz posted an interview with Marek Spanel, a leader of BIS. The interview is very interesting. If you are able to read Czech you should read it. It speaks about past, present and some things that have not yet come to pass. :-)) (Have you already seen FOTR?!!)

How big was first salary of boys from BIS, what moment during development of Flashpoint was the worst, if we'll see OF also on PlayStation2 and many more in an interview with boss of Bohemia Interactive Studio, Marek Spanel.

Could you tell us more about VBS1?
In Australia there is a main team that is addicted to VBS1. By technological meaning it's nothing new; it's still Flashpoint. Soldiers are satisfied with OFP, over the other trainers it's easy to control, it's funny and withal it's very authentic. This is not the question of choper to turn exactly but soldier must be set up to similar situations, under similar time press and he must make similar decisions.

OFP the best game again

Readers of Czech game server Bonusweb have chosen Operation Flashpoint the best 1st person action game of year 2001. Flashpoint won with 1020 votes in face of Return to Castle Wolfenstein (969 votes) and Aliens vs. Predator 2 (521 votes).

Avon's Original OFP Demo Nostalgia Mission Pack

It's not yet a year when we, rock fans of OFP, downloaded first OFP demo and tried walk thru only one mission by hundreds ways with big enthusiasm. But soon many of us was charged with quite limited possibilities of one mission and feeling big potencial they began explore the code of mission and program and then make their own missions. Do you remember names like Phaeden, Reddeth, Gaybo, Tobbeee, Duma or Lustypooh? In these days I also collected that missions and if I don't mistake, I counted more than 100 missions - during 2 months before release of final version and with only a part of Malden and a few vehicles!!! Some missions were really brilliant.

Now we can put in remembrance these days. This email address is being protected from spambots. Nothing was changed other than minor HTML corrections in overview files, prefixing the mission names with the letters "ODE" to identify them as part of this mission pack and renaming the mission files to conform with the OFP retail version's file naming conventions.
