Natosoldier.com is working on RQ-1 Predator UAV system. The models are already completed. Now, he has to do a script part. When it is completed, the commander will be able to watch the battlefield in the real time by radio commands. It sounds excellent!
I decided to get some more information about that great technology. RQ-1 Predator UAV (Unmaned Aerial Vehicle) was made by General Atomics. It is very good solution for communications to military headquaters or directly to the units in the terrain. RQ-1 Predator is quite cheap with good endurance. One of the biggest advantages is that this machine hasn't to carry any pilot- it is controled from the ground. Next advantage is its equipment. It carries a TV camera, infra-red camera and radar. Predator is powered by turbo motor with 4 cylinders Rotax 914 used also by ultralights. Predator was used in Afganistan 2001 with the rockets Hellfire.
