Jungle Fever v2.3 FINAL

HawkinsDaFin has released his long awaited Jungle Fever v2.3 FINAL Vietnam War based Mod, with a mission pack containing 15 missions!

This has been a very long project. Been working on this for years, on and off. When WRPTool came out, the island really started to get a real form and shape. Using real maps and historical information, I started dotting the area with villages, roads, bases... It's not 100% accurate, I know, and I'm already thinking of making it again with DEMs of the real area. Time will tell. Custom objects have been made for the island, and I use some from the very talented modder and 'Nam enthusiast ebud. He's been active in the 'nam front for a long time and the first versions of 'Nam pack from the SEB team got me into OFP 'Nam editing. So a thanks goes out to all involved in the NP project. And as an end note, this is not an official Unsung project. This is a personal minimod I made for a future 'Nam coop server which I run. It lacked a good base mod, so I decided to evolve my island into a small mod to have balanced units and weapons. See my site for future information.

P71 Police Interceptor released

Delta Hawk has released a nice P71 Police Interceptor in the BI Forums.

This addon pack includes FULLY FUNCTIONAL TRADEMARK Ford P71 Police Interceptors depicting Texas Department of Public Safety, Generic Police Department, Yucata Sheriff's Department, a generic unmarked and a Fire/EMS car (C2). This pack also includes early Texas State Troopers, generic police officers and Yucata County Sheriff's Deputies. The Texas DPS is a exact representation of the REAL Texas DPS.

I could not include alot of fancy stuff because I am not a scripter, only a modeler and texturer. These cars are V.90 unfinished, cause they will probably change with future additions and modifications. But alot of effort and hardwork went into these cars and I only will release high quality addons. You MUST HAVE SJB's weapons pack for the police officers. These cars sadly are not MP compatible yet. I hope you enjoy these cars.

Operation Flashpoint 2: New Details

Codemasters has released new details on their upcoming game Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising during the Games Convention 2007 in Leipzig,Germany.

About 130 developers from Codemasters are working already for 2 years on OFP2, which should be released at the end of 2008. We can look forward for a new trailer which will be released before christmas 2007. Here is a quote of the official statement by Codemasters.

Codemasters announces a new modern day theatre of war for Operation Flashpoint™2: Dragon Rising.

Company Reveals Full Game Title and Teaser Trailer at Games Convention 2007 in Leipzig, Germany.

Operation Flashpoint™2: Dragon Rising was today announced as the full title for the return of the leading name in modern military simulation gaming. Codemasters also revealed an explosive teaser trailer for the game in its booth (Hall 4, F01) at Games Convention 2007 in Leipzig, Germany. The Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising teaser trailer is now available to view and download from www.codemasters.com/flashpoint2. Planned to arrive in 2008 for major console platforms and PC, Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising marks the long-awaited return of the total conflict simulator. This addition to Codemasters popular franchise will challenge a new generation of gamers to survive the chaos and rapidly evolving situations of military combat in a current contemporary theatre of war.

“Set on a vast oil-rich island located off the eastern coast of Russia, just north of Japan, Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising’s plot takes place during a time of tension between Russia and China over the island’s disputed ownership,” explains Andrew Wafer, Brand Manager for Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising, at Codemasters. “The game opens as Chinese forces launch an offensive, and referencing the game’s title, as the dragon rises over the island, players will find themselves in a situation that is set to flare up into a flashpoint like never before.”

Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising utilizes an evolved version of Codemasters proprietary game engine Neon. As depicted in the new teaser trailer, soldiers, weaponry and military vehicles will be as authentic and realistically detailed as ever, and the environments will be a comprehensive simulation of real world locations, densely packed to create rich and challenging tactical combat situations.

Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising is in development at Codemasters Studios, and is currently rated “RP” (Rating Pending) by the ESRB. Be sure to check out the official game website located at www.codemasters.com/flashpoint2 to see the teaser trailer and to sign up for future development briefings.

* Note to the OFP2 Trailer: Although the video is rendered, original ingame models of soldiers and vehicles etc. has been used!
